  1. Not yet but headin' tae Aldo Zilli's munchy fest in late April when I go on a wee cruise!! Don't expect the wee fella tae be there in person, but lookin' tae huv some guid quality grub....

  2. The Seafood in Padstow - Rick Steins - he wasn't there, the food was OK but grossly overpriced

Almost forgot, Harry Ramsdons Blackpool for the best Fish and Chips ever

  3. no not yet

  4. It was Simon Gheller's restaurant in Leeds.  It had a Michelin star and Lord Harewood was sat on the next table.  It was very good but very expensive and POSH.

  5. Rick Tramano's "Tru" in Chicago.  Bar none the best meal I've ever had.  a 4-hour degestation that was fabulous from end to end.  (At $175 with wine pairings it ought to be!)

I ate at one of Wofgang Puck's cafes, which I think he only lends his name to.  It was awful!

Charlie Trotter's in Chicago.  Food was good, not great.  His mom was there, though, and gave us a tour of the wine cellar and the kitchen.  That made it all worth it!

  6. -At Mario Batali's restaurant, Po (no longer his, he sold it) three times - the most amazing food I've ever, ever had. Priced appropriately, left there stuffed every time.  Still dream about some of the things I ate there.

-At both Emeril's and NOLA's in New Orleans.  Emerils was okay, but not fabulous and sort of stuffy.  NOLAs is much more comfortable, and we preferred the food.

-At Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay) - I loved my monkfish, other people I was with weren't crazy about it.  Good - not fabulous

-Have eaten at two of Todd English's restaurants - ehhh.  Not great.  My ravioli at one tasted exactly like Chef Boyardee.  I actually sent it back.

  7. Wolfgang Puck's -- it was alright. I've actually had better.

  8. I was just going to put McDonald's until I read your comment lol

    So, no, I haven't.

  9. No.But i would like to try a top chefs food in a top restaurant some day to really taste how good therefood is supposed to be

  10. Spagos, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant and it was very good.

  11. nope!

  12. Gordon Ramsays Claridges.

Over - priced and tiny portions. It was nice quality food though.

  13. I'm a Executive Chef/General Manager so I've eaten at several "Chef's" restaurants.  I find that the food is tiny and expensive, and not always good.

Best suggestion:  Find out where the "locals" eat in their home towns, and that is usually the best food.

Best Food:  A little hole in the wall restaurant in my Mom's neighborhood.  (nobody beat Grandma,... RIP)

  14. Yes Morimotos' in Philadelphia, GREAT, food was very wonderful and Morimoto was there actually cooking! Got his autograph and he was very friendly and willing to take pictures with any one. The changing lights were way cool. Overall a once in a lifetime experience. We made reservations a month ahead and still had to wait till 9pm to get in but worth it.
