Have you ever ended up phoning the wrong number if so what happened?

They told me I had the wrong number, I apologised and they hung up - all very civilised!  It really aggravates me when people call someone up and when they realise it's the wrong number, they grunt and slam the phone down - no apologies for the inconvenience they've caused the person on the other end!  Someone rung my mobile and I was on the motorway. I had to pull over to the hard shoulder and fiddle around in my bag to get my phone.  When I answered, someone asked if I was "Claire" and when I said "no, I think you've got the wrong number", he tutted then cut me off.  I then set off up the motorway again and a minute later he did exactly the same, and unfortunately I was unable to tell him what I thought of his rudeness.  So one night after a party (3.20am) I remembered his phone number was registered on my phone (land line) and I rung it.  When he answered it, I tutted at him and put the phone down.  Rudeness certainly didn't pay in this situation!

I sent a text message to what I though was my brothers number telling him to "Get Pick Me Up Magazine tommorrow, cos im in It"

The next day I got a message back saying "Got Pick Me Up, But Who Are You?"  I had entered a wrong digit and the message went to a girl called Karen.  I apolagised when i realised, But she was dead nice and said she had read my article in "Pick Me Up" and wished me well, I now get emails off her every now and then.

Weird.
