Have you ever experienced a bad feeling when you were going to get into a car that someone else was driving?

Was it so bad that you actually didn't and then later found out something bad happened to them? Or did you ignore it and then have something bad happen to you? If so, what happened in either case?

  1. Yeah. That's your gut talking. Always listen to that and it'll never steer you wrong.

  2. Yes, and I've done this with both cars and planes. Accuracy on this is only about 40% with cars, and 0% with planes (I had a feeling so strong about one plane that I canceled my ticket, but nothing happened). Generally, if I get a strong feeling like that, I tend to go with it.

But this "feeling" was usually nothing more than a bad thought, and didn't predict anything. The car feeling was more along the lines of "you're going to regret this" and not "you're going to get hurt" or "you're going to die" the same way the plane was. I've had the feeling 5 times ever, and twice it's been correct: one was a car accident with one fatality, and one was a fender-bender with no injuries. The one time it was a fatality makes me want to pay attention.

I've never been in a car accident where I wasn't the one driving (and I don't have a driver's license).

  3. Pay attention to your instincts, even if what you are feeling is because of the way someone else drives.

  4. i have experienced something like that, it just wasnt in a car. my mother has heart and lung problems. she wasnt supposed to last through the spring...of '01. my parents are divorced and live in different houses, but they live close together. last week, i went home with my dad after spending most of the summer so far with my mom. my dad came down to her house to get something, and he found her on the couch barely breathing, and she wouldnt wake up. when she finally did though, it was about 10 mins later. i had told my parents that i didnt like leaving her here by herself, and that i knew somthing was going to happen. as usual, they didnt believe me, and thought i just wanted to mess around with them. i dont think they remember me saying that, because they didnt say anything about it. that night, i had a dream that i looked at my mother and i saw like an orangish-redish glow around my mothers chest, where her heart and lungs are, and a little red blur close to her ankle. the rest of her was either a light green or yellow. she wasnt the color, but it was her... outline i would say. i woke up crying, but couldnt remember what made me sad in my dream. i mean i could remember all those parts up there, but i didnt think i would wake up crying from those. i did that when i was little. i always would either wake up laughing or crying... i normally dont remember my dreams, but this one was really vivid, so i guess it stuck out in my head. it may just be my head, but i dont think so. there are times when i know exactly what my brother (who is 12 years older than me) is going to say, and he gets irritated when i say things for him. my brother and i seem to... know, i guess would be the word, or i guess we just know what things people are trying to say, but either way, it is just a little strange to me that we can finish strangers' sentences. But i just get feelings about some things. i am not claiming anything. i just state things as they happen. if you want my opinion, gut instincts should not be ignored. if you feel bad about something, pay attention to it, because you might get a shock when you ignore your instincts. i hope i gave you answers sufficient enough to satisfy the purpose for asking the question. and, thanks for asking the question that i get to say what i think and feel without being critisized for it. if this kinda thing has happened to you, i hope everyone is okay, and if it happens to you later, i wish you and all in the accident luck and best wishes. again, thanks for letting me ramble :D
