Have you ever experienced a situation where you bought a gal. of milk & it was sour 5 days before it expired?

That just happened to me. This happens mainly when you buy it from the convenience store. I remember it used to happen ALL the time when we were really young. & yes, I had it in the fridge on setting #7, which is pretty cold. I didn't know this was going to happen to me once again. I shouldn't buy milk from there anymore.

When I buy milk from WalMart, the milk is always cold & SUPER fresh!

I bought some milk from 99 cent store because i forgot to purchase it at Albertsons on the way home.  The next morning it was sour, to me at least - but my chick didn't even realize it, yuck.

The thing is sometimes the milk's due date is stamped on there differently than when it really goes bad so when So just be careful when you buy their milk hope this helps.

I have had that happen a couple of times and always in the hot summer.  I assumed that the milk was not properly handled at some point and was allowed to get warm, therefore causing the milk to sour earlier than the stamped date.

Yup, I have.  And I realized that the milk was previously frozen.  Not sure what the connection, but its seems like almost every time, its been because its been frozen.  Be sure and take it back to your grocer!
