Have you ever felt like you were not welcome to be in here?

Apparently I have upset a few folks in here. I guess my opinion is not welcome. So I will say at this time that if I have upset you with my answers, I am very sorry. I know that some of my answers may be a bit long and I am sorry. I have been blocked from reading and maybe answering a few of the questions here in Seniors. I try to treat others the way that I want to be treated. I have never blocked anyone at all. I rarely ask any questions. So if I am not welcome to come here, I will go away. Have you ever been made to feel like you were not welcome some where?

Don't let those few bad apples run you off.  You are welcomed here and all opinions, whether you agree or disagree, should be respected.  It's sad, but I suspect we have a few people that get their "kicks" out of being bullies and disrespectful because they are anonymous here and can get away with it, unlike the real world they live in.  Hang in there!

I have never felt unwelcome here. If people don't like me they don't have to answer my questions.But I feel I have friends here. This is all in fun. I enjoy the questions people ask except for one  and she knows who she is! I try to be nice but you need to be nice too. I like your questions. Don't let a few people spoil Yahoo for you. Just ignore those  who try to upset you. There are a lot of good people here.  Poppy

Actually I don't worry about what others think. I have never seen anything that you have written about that was out of line, Sapphire. You have to let a lot of things roll off your back sometimes. Don't let a few that have apparently upset you, cause you to leave. Everyone is entitled to be here as long as they are being respectful. You stay, ok? I know there are others that do not want you to go. DO NOT give them the satisfaction of knowing they run you off.

Its the summer break the children are off school dont worry about it ,I will say ,some parts of Yahoo are like a club and you do feel unwelcome sometimes ,but I find this Seniors very friendly

I am very much a "newbie" to this section , but from what I have read you seem like a genuinely nice person - there is no need to leave because of one foolish person :)



I sometimes wonder if people mind if I'm in this section since I am not a senior, but I like this section so much more than all the other ones that seem to be full of teenagers.

I hope to see you around here just as much as before :)

Sapphire, If the day has came that anyone could   think           that you of all people needed to be blocked, Would stoop low enough to even block Gladys, and many other good seniors,  I always read your answers   You are a very kind good hearted person, The person that has you blocked has a lot of us blocked, if she only wants 5 answers let her be.  I always thought  we had the  rights to freedom of speech,

Trust me....the ones who have you blocked aren't worth the brain cells you have spent on them.  They enjoy life on their knees.  Don't let them force you into their posistions in life.

You haven't upset me....yet.  Keep posting things like this & I might HAVE to block you as a reminder to myself that you're too fragile & I might end up bruising you in my ZEST for life!

Some day either Yahoo! or a smart person will develop a program that

I have never felt unwelcome here in Seniors.  I cannot see any of your answers which would be deemed objectionable.  Personally, if I ever blocked anyone, it was an accident.  I think  that maybe I did a few months ago when one of the few questions I asked caused a very rude answer.  I have not seen this person since then.  This bad experience resulted in me asking very few questions.  I think I have been blocked by some, but so be it.

Don't worry about it.  Someone in this category is blocking a lot of people.  Someone, maybe the same person, is giving everybody thumbs down.  I'm sure I speak for the majority when I say everyone is welcome here.  Personally, I like the differing opinions, it would be pretty boring if we all thought the same way!  Cheer up, don't let a few immature people get you down.

Of course you're welcome here. Don't let a few people make you feel that you should go away. Some people on here have a lot of us blocked and we have no clue why. Obviously they don't want to hear anything that doesn't agree with their views. I just consider them small minded and that they don't have a desire to broaden their knowledge. This is a public site, its not someone's personal discussion board.  If someone wants a private group, they should go to YUKU and find one.  

You have as much right to post here, as anyone else.  People from all over the world post on Y!A.  

It should just be of interest to see how other people think, not judge them.

Especially seniors should act more mature than the younger people.

Not really. I see that folks have a temperament, and I am no different than they, but I admit, when I have felt unwelcome, I have a few ways in which I retaliate. It just doesn't always occur towards my victims.

You better not go anywhere Sapphire. I enjoy all the answers that you give, especially the ones to my questions. All your stories and ideas are uplifting and interesting. I can't imagine how you could have offended someone, I don't think you have a mean bone in your body. The person who has blocked is the one missing out and you shouldn't let it bother you.

Being a lot younger than the folks in here I do feel a bit unwelcome sometimes. I can also be a little outspoken and controversial so I'm going to have to work on holding my tongue a bit. If the people in this section can put up with me then you seriously don't have anything to worry about.
