I can't really explain; maybe someone will know what I mean by this question.

But lately I find myself in deep thought and suddenly I reach a point where I realize my brain wont be able to think or understand any further.

Iv always imagined my brain as infinite but its a bit of a let down because more and more often I am finding blocks in computing ability

A rough example of this is trying to comprehend how a large corporation is run.. Trying to understand every aspect at once from the letters being delivered, to the low repair man, to the accountant, to the actual salespeople.

  2. yeah, it happens. It just takes time. take things a bit slower, get to really know the basics of how something works, and then working on getting to the more complex stuff.

but I know what you mean. It's like you hit a wall and just keep ramming into it to no avail. It's really tiring.

  3. I understand what you mean...it's like you've reached your capacity to accept new information. As if your head will explode if you try to analyze the topic any deeper than you already are. I've experienced this in both pleasant and unpleasant ways...

Pleasant...during casual, but highly intellectual conversations with friends that start getting really really deep, but don't turn into a heated debate.

    Unpleasant...during a 3-hour impromptu corporate meeting. Ugh.

Either way, it's still good mental exercise (as long as you're not stressed out), and it's a great way to keep those brainiac wheels turning, especially after you've finished going to school and aren't in an educational/mentally stimulating setting like that every day. The real world is filled with people who have little or no common sense or wisdom. Thinking deeply can prevent one from becoming this way, and it can sharpen your problem-solving and analytical skills. Even if you're smart, it's still possible to become a bonehead later in life if you become lazy in your thinking habits.

  4. yes.

  5. That happens to me, except with advanced statistical analysis, physics and philosophical theories.
