  1. yep, but most of the time we just cut it short and whoever has the most money after selling back properties and houses/hotels wins

real monopoly games can take hours upon hours to play

  2. More times than I could ever count .   I don't play it much these days.

  3. just once with my cousin..

  4. I can honestly say yes. One time lol... and it took about 4 days to do. Well four nites. We did like a to be continued thing.....

  5. We always finish a game, even though there is no doubt about the outcome.  We're mean.

  6. yeah, i love that game too. i never leave a game of monopoly unfinished UNLESS i fall asleep continually. (ha-ha) my friends and i play it all the time, and my BFF harper is OBSESSED with it! i think he's a monopoholic...lol

  7. yes...once

  8. i love that game especially once you get into it the rules almost completely disintegrate and you only use them as a guideline and you end up losing your bike.   to pay off a loan(which also isn't in the rules) that your friends step brother gave you!    =)

  9. yea thats a game you should have to do at a sleep over

  10. Yes I Have and this is how to play it

    Step1

Keep in mind that the ultimate goal is to have the most money and assets at the end of the game.

    Step2

Make sure that you have all the pieces. The box should contain a game board, two dice, play money, 32 houses, 12 hotels, 11 tokens, a stack each of Chance and Community Chest cards, and a Title Deed card for each property.

    Step3

Lay the board out with the Chance and Community Chest cards facedown on their respective spaces.

    Step4

Choose your favorite token. Put all of the players' tokens on Go.

    Step5

Select a player to be the Banker. This person takes care of the money, buildings and Title Deed cards.

    Step6

Distribute the money. Each player gets two $500 bills, two $100 bills, two $50 bills, six $20 bills, five $10 bills, five $5 bills and five $1 bills for a total of $1,500.

    Step7

Have each player roll the dice to see who goes first. The highest roll wins, and play moves to the left.

    Step8

Roll the dice and move that many spaces.

    Step9

Buy a property from the Bank, if you wish, when you land on it. If you opt not to buy a property on your turn, the Banker may auction it to the highest bidding player. Bidding can start at any price and anyone may bid on the property.

    Step10

Pay rent if you land on a property owned by another player. He or she must remember to ask for it before the player after you throws the dice.

    Step11

Take a card if you land on Chance or Community Chest and follow the instructions.

    Step12

Keep the dice if you roll doubles - once your turn is over, you may roll again.

    Step13

Go to Jail if you roll doubles three times in a row.

    Step14

Collect your salary of $200 from the Bank every time you pass or land on Go.

    Step15

Get out of Jail by any of these methods: Use a Get Out of Jail Free card; pay a $50 fine before you roll the dice on either of your next two turns; or roll doubles on the dice during any of the three turns following your incarceration (you don't get to take another turn). However, if you don't roll doubles by the third turn, you have to pay a $50 fine.

    Step16

Win the game by snapping up all of the property on the board, ruining the other players and acquiring more money and assets than anyone else.

  11. yes once 3 years ago

  12. yes.. i still am playing this game.. it does end if someone is bankrupt and then we will count money and rate from 1st to --..

  13. I love monopoly and I've never NOT finished a game haha

  14. Yes, at least once a month, and my 10yr old tycoon usually kicks my butt

  15. Yes.  Nearly always finish.  If you play with others who are efficient in their decision making, the game tends to last between 1.5 and 3 hours in my experience.

Now RISK is s a game that is a real challenge to finish.  Monopoly... not so much.

  16. yep and it depends if i  feel like finishing it!

  17. no i always flip the board.. except for this one time when i was winning but then my friend pushed it off the table lol

  18. Yeah!! I finish games with my friends all the time!

  19. yep!!! we use to always play it too, its a great game...

  20. Yes I once did. Dreadfully. I was broke,I had to sell all my belongings and I lost.

  21. Not to sound like a total geek (OK, too late), I play Monopoly all the time...on my PalmPilot. It rocks. I can stop a game and then pick it up later.

  22. ughhhh! no! i wont even count my longest game.  it was so long that no one wanted to play anymore...

  23. Yes, I have finished a game, but I have not played Monopoly in a very long time.  If you like Monopoly you may find this link interesting.

  24. Ummm... Yeah.

I play it with my friends all the time and we almost always finish.  Of course, I have only finished a game with two people, but if you play with more, then it'll take longer.  But still, then, I can finish about half of the time.  Other times, someone will either get bored or upset because they're losing and leave.
