  1. That is funny that you would say that.  I leave my little bundle of joy home with my husband while I am at work and on Monday when I got home I went to go change his diaper and my husband must have been eating when he changed him last and I found a chip stuck to his behind.  I was laughing so hard.  I had to ask my husband why he found changing a diaper so appetizing.

  2. LMAO- We have found paper, and chunks of food that I didn't know we fed him...It happens just a little extra fiber. A new thing around here is to eat the paper from straws when we go out to eat. I try and take the paper off before he gets it. but as soon as he does its all over!..Horrible but funny!

So what kind of paper was it? magazine, newspaper, school paper?? COME ON...

  3. One of my sisters went through a bit of an obsession with spoons and we used to find spoons down there all the time.

  4. One time I found a wipe in my son's diaper when he was a newborn -- I guess I must have been half asleep for the previous diaper change :o)

  5. Yes.  Once I found a poopy gum wrapper, the inside wrapper with the shiny foil on it.

  6. Yup. My 10 month old apparently found some Orbit gum wrappers the other day. Don't feel too badly, just keep a better on on 'em! :) I have started vaccumming every day, and crawling around the room on my hands and knees because she will find things I never knew were there until I got down to her level!

  7. My daughter loves those Gerber puffs- and she had been in her high chair eating them and when i went to change her diaper- there must have been a dozen in there! lol! and here I thought she was just really hungry. haha

  8. lol yeah! One time I caught my daughter tearing up the phone book. Well...a day or so later I found a small part of a page in her diaper (she was exclusively breastfed) and I could actually still read the phone numbers!

  9. When I got home from work last night I went to change his diaper and a handful worth of (uneaten) cheerios fell out.

I've found all sorts of strange (eaten) things since he started solids, like whole chunks of watermelon, peas, etc.

Maybe Mickey was just writing his dissertation.

Sorry Deb, I think you inherited my thumbs down stalker. Ha ha...I have two now ;-)

  10. yea sometimes u find stuff there that normally shouldnt be its just where they found something and ate it the things u should worry about is the things they eat and u dont find in the dipper

  11. Toddler's diaper - mixed veggies!  I know corn is common, but the rest of the veggies too?  LOL  I had to keep reminding my daughter to chew her food and not just swallow it!

  12. I toured a diaper factory, and it was very interesting that they send the diapers thru metal detectors before being shipped out, and make sure the tabs cant come off as to be choking hazards.

  13. oh yeah!!! My son used to love eating the newspaper...I could literally put the whole article back together. What a little bugger!

But that's the whole parenting thing...

    Could be worse!

Like finding a bug or something?

  14. I had my daughter at a laundromat once, and when I was driving home with our clothes I heard her snapping something, I reached my hand back and told her to give me whatever it was she was playing with, and she put some rolled up paper and a plastic bag into my hand.

The rolled up paper was 3K in 100$ bills and the plastic bag had white rocks in it.  She had been out of my sight for all of 5 minutes there.

Yeah, I never went back to that laundromat - I did call the police and turn everything in.

  15. I've found bits off cookies in Tyler's diapers when he was younger...I have no idea how they got there though because he had a onesize on!!

  16. I have never found anything weird in my babies diapers but when I was a baby I swallowed a dime and my mom found it in my diaper. The weirdest thing about it is she kept the dime as a memorabilia.

  17. Actually yes it was bubble gum it was gross.. He had gotten gum and swallowed it and of course it came out and there it was...lol

  18. LOL yeah.  Babies do silly things sometimes.

  19. Sometimes I find fluff or peices of what looks like wood. It is weird, you wonder how it gets in there when they are sleeping.

  20. Well..... I found one of my hairs once.... gross.... I know.

Another time I awoke to find his diaper missing altogether........ that was terrible....... I am talking about pee EVERYWHERE......  Some how he got it off........ and pushed it out of the crib.

  21. I find cheerios in there all the time... Alyssa gets a lot of stuff in her clothes that ends up in the diaper... nothing strange has ever passed through her body though.

  22. yeah- my son who is almost 17 months now use to go to my parent's house while i went to work. well i have a 4 year old brother and a 10 year old brother who have lots of toys. My 4 year old brother loves beanie babies. i found one of thise little round beany things in his p**p. also, my son loves raisens, but when they come out the other end they look like rehydrated grapes lol

When i was little my grandmother use to have this little fake robin's nest with little blue eggs in it. onve we got home my mother found a bunch of little blue eggs in my sister's diaper- they were too big for her to eat but i think she jsut put them there so she could take em' home:)

  23. Nothing that traveled through the digestive tract to get there...the other day my 21 month old decided her diaper was a pocket and put a couple of Tinker Toys in there.  A friend of mine found half a page from Time magazine in one of her daughter's diapers--it did travel through the digestive tract and as it was described to me the words were still readable.

  24. Too funny. Yeah a cooked whole spaghetti noodle but for us I think it was when she was eating them earlier. In this hypothetical case maybe it fell in without you or um whoever noticing.

  25. Grass (many many times, and it was in the p**p so he ate it and it didn't get digested -I knew he ate it though.  I'm only one person and can only be in one place at a time)

A button (clearly from one of my son's shirts by its size)

Toys (obviously shoved in rather than eaten)

None of the paper my son ate has ever shown up.  Nor has the gravel #2 son likes to eat so very, very much.

Things that we know he ate but never found in his p**p:

6 olive pits (hubby thought they were pitted)

A penny (he had it, he choked, it was never seen again and we searched for over a week)

  26. I found one of my daughters toys in her diaper before I don't know how it got in there but it was there.

  27. When my daughter was about 18 months old she went and played near some picnic tables with an 4 year old girl.  They were playing in the pebbles under the tables.  The next day I found about a tablespoon or so of pebbles in her diaper.  Good thing they were small pebbles because she passed them easily.

Then just last week my daughter put an I-Touch in her diaper.  My husband had brought it home from work.  He was letting her look at it and then all of a sudden we couldn't find it. I saw a little chrome sticking out from the top of her diaper.  I guess she was using the diaper as a pocket.  Now he has a cover on the I-Touch and we are much more careful when she comes near it.

  28. Yes. I found a raisin the other day. When my son was about 12-18 months he went through a phase of eating tons of raisins and they would come out in his p**p all the time (still whole) so I guess it shouldn't have come as a big surprise. Except for the fact that my little one is only 4 months old and hasn't yet even tried rice cereal! I guess her big brother must have gotten a little too close whilst she was being changed. Other than that I have no idea how it got there.

  29. A pacifier!! My husband some how changed his diaper and put on a new one and the pacifer was in it! My son had gas and i felt his diaper and it felt like he had a stinky so i looked and i couldn't believe it! I still haven't let my hubby forget it!

  30. When I was  teenager, and babysitting, I found about two dozen 'pop-it' beads [ the plastic,  3/4" size - you snap together to make 'necklaces', etc. ]

    inside the babies poopie diaper.

    Yes, she had eaten them.

Yes, I counted them - and saved them for mom to see!

No, mom did not get upset [ her third kid ].

There is a very good reason they don't make that size anymore!

  31. Well, when my daughter was two weeks old, I found blood in her diaper, and that is *definitely* not supposed to be there!! Luckily, we found the cause, and it cleared up in a couple months.

My daughter is approaching 21 months, and other that that, there hasn't been any weird surprises. Not counting food, of course...ya know, tomato skins, those weird black strands from bananas, corn...etc.

I KNOW she's eaten paper before, because I caught her munching on the side of an utility bill once, but I guess she chewed it up good...it was never seen again...LOL
