  1. sure, i am proud to say i have a yellow lawn. but wheres the fun in improving an already green lawn?

  2. The meaning of that saying is that the grass is the same wherever you are!

  3. ever?  are you serious?  Has anyone on this entire forum ever found that to be true?

what a total waste of space

  4. The grass is always greener over the septic tank.

Yes, I've been known to envy others even though they basically had the same sort of life I had.  It's hard not to, because we look at a snapshot of their life, and compare it to the 24/7 video of our own life.

We just see the nice green grass and think, d**n, that guy's got this gardening thing knocked.  What we don't know is that he's hired an illegal immigrant gardener because he can't do it himself and can't afford to hire legal workers.  We also don't know that because he's working so hard to make ends meet, he's ignoring his wife, who is making up for the gardener's low wages by offering him "fringe benefits".

  5. Well, I did leave a job for another one which paid better.  The new job did cause me to end up on anti-depressants, but things are getting better now, so that's probably a "yes" to your question.

  6. Certainly--we ALL have struggles and problems. That is not always apparent when one is on the outside looking in.

  7. No ...after many jobs etc but wanting to meet new challenges...yes

  8. The stock answer:

    The grass is greener...

    where you water it.

  9. not really.

because it seems to me, whenever you get to "where the grass is greener", the grass seems greener from where you just came from.

    if that makes any sense.

im sure there will be better answers. lol.

    but i still hoped i helped. :]

  10. The grass always seems greener  -  even literally.   I have a field near me which is lovely and green from a distance, but when you get close you see all the bare patches and weeds.

Life can be like that too.  Looking perfect until you examine it more closely.

  11. It's not that the grass is greener on the other side--it just appears greener. Humans have a funny way of perceiving things. We desire what we don't have even if it is not better than what we already have, and the prospect of something new always has a more glamorous and admirable luster to it.

  12. In order to find that out, you must take a chance. Taking a chance is a gamble.  It depends on the situation and what you as an individual consider to be "greener"

  13. yes and no its c**p wot if you  live next door to  tescos or a car park no grass
