  1. I go regularly to Carol Baker Visage. I would never go anywhere else.

They do an awsome job at showing you new and different colours and what suites your skin tone best and how to apply it.

I just wish I could take the girl who waxes my eyebrows with me as I am going to be in Morocco for 3 or 4 months.

  2. Yes, I had my make-up done once at a department store counter. I had this idea that I would have them do my make-up the morning of my bridal shower. That way I could potentially buy all my make-up for my wedding. This girl was out-of-control. She used so much color on my face that I looked like a clown when she was done. I left it on for the beginning of the shower because I knew my friends would think it was funny, then I wiped most of it off.

When she finished doing my make-up, I looked in the mirror and told her I wasn't crazy about it and I'd have to think about it. I think she was mad, but it was really a hideous look.

Anyway, I think you'd be better off asking your mom or an older friend to help you buy and apply make-up. Do you know anyone who sells Avon? They will know your personality, likes and dislikes. And then maybe you'll get a look you like.

That said, at 13, I think all you need is a bronzer (which is more natural looking than blush) and some mascara. Maybe a little light eyeshadow. You could buy all that at a drugstore and get a lot more for your money.

    Good luck!

  3. Yes I have many time. They do a great job! It's completely free. Just ask if you can have your make-up done. When they are done with you can decide whether you like it or not. Yes blush can be sold from 12-20. Also, some really good brands are Clinique and Bobbie Brown. Hope this helped! :)

  4. Yes this is a great thing that a lot of women do, just let them know you are looking for some new ideas and would like for them to do up your face for this special occasion to try it out and get every ones opinion. Make sure you do buy at least one product which if you want blush it would be easy to stay in between 12- 20 bucks. Call the dept store you want to go to before hand and ask if they running any specials at the beauty counters a lot of times you can get deals where if you spend 20-25 dollars you get a gift bag with a bunch of nice new makeup to try. If they do ask if you can make an appointment for that counter for the day of the wedding that way you will have a specific spot at the time you need. Good luck!

  5. If you go to a department store you just have to buy something for them to do it. They do a good job. The blush is usually like 15 dollars.

  6. Go to the counter, and tell them that you are going to a wedding, and you want your make-up to be appropiate for that occasion.

  7. Prescriptives is the best place to get the perfect foundation. Just ask them to do a make-up for you. They do it all the time.

  8. First off, I highly recomend that you purchse the cream blush. It's amazing & the best blush I have ever used. I'm not too sure about the price ... it would probably be $20 something.

If you go the counter just simply say, "Hi, I'm looking for some new makeup, but I'm not really sure what colors are right for my skin tone, can you show me? Usually, they will take out all of they're make up kits and do your makeup right there, but they will expect you to purchase. I was just walking through Lord & Taylor one day and some guy asked me if he could do it, but I had gift card and bought a lot of stuff after.

  9. I was in a wedding when I was like, 8 and the bridesmaids went to a counter like at Belk, I think and had their's done. I don't know if they had to pay or anything.

  10. go to mac, they will do your makeup cutely, and all you have to buy is one product, so have them recomend you a blush and you could buy that (in your price range :)) you could also try sephora..
