  1. yes I have given money and clothes and food. I also donated over 5000 hours to my local hospital. I also took in 2 homeless families I knew.

  2. Yes, it's an important part of my life.

  3. My wife and I give in some form everyday. She volunteers at the local food bank. I help w/ my brother-in-law's church stuff w/ fixing things and helping out the older folks...also try to train felons new trades to help get 'em back on their feet. I think all of that counts as charity. You?

  4. I donate my time and money every month and whenever I have time and opportunity.

  5. Definitely! I was raised by parents who always said that we have so much that we need to give back. I don't make a tonne of money but I make enough to give a bit to different charities.

I sponsor a girl in Africa so I pay $35/month ($420/year) for that, and I also give to the Heart and Stroke foundation and the Cancer Society.

All my old (good-condition) clothing goes to a thrift store that benefits a local community services society. So I'm not donating money but if they sell my clothes, they get money from that. I donate other items (furniture, toys, etc) to that thrift store as well as to the "exchange table" in my condo building. If I have a mug that I don't want, I leave it there for someone who may want the mug (for example).

I volunteer a lot so although it's not money, I'm donating my time.

Donating is excellent. I started donating young and now in my 20s I will keep going!
