  1. no

  2. No, but I have seen one on our city's metro (mrt). Actually, it was just accidental (the man dropped his slippers/flip flops while boarding it). Since he doesn't have any extra footwear, he went barefooted along the trip. I never knew what happened to him upon disembarking at his station (maybe bought a footwear or just trudged home barefooted along the streets)

  3. Yes, I have caught the train in bare feet on several occassions.

I always sit with my legs crossed but sometimes get comments about the dirtiness of the soles of my feet.

I guess seeing the filthy soles of my bare feet on the train is a bit unusual for some people who make comments.

I like going barefoot on the train because it does attract attention and is a good way of spreading the word about going barefoot.

But you do have to be careful about what you step on.

  4. I have, but people don't like it at all. On trains, they wouldn't allow me to take my shoes off(It could've off been the smell), but one time I had a medical issue that made my foot expand and I acctually had to have a doctor's note to ride barefoot.

  5. Almost daily, I'm always barefoot and I always travel by public transport. It's not gross or dangerous; our feet are made to keep pathogens out and we're at far greater risk of picking something up through our hands than through our feet. Just don't put your feet up on the dinner table or l**k your toes! Injury is unlikely too; I'm often running late at the morning so I tend to hit my train station at a dead run; I've NEVER had a cut and even a minor splinter only happens about once a year (counting all places I walk, not just the train/bus stations). Feet get very tough very quickly, and are fully washable.

  6. No, I havent

A lot of people think it is unsafe, I suppose it is somewhat.

Lots of people do and they dont seem to be dropping over dead.

I just think of the stuff I see on the floors of bus stations and train stations and there is no way I would want to be walking in that.

It is funny, people will make comments on seeing your soiled soles but think nothing of the exact same thing on the soles of their own shoes.

Personal preference I think, human skin is incredibly effective at keeping pathogens out so I imagine you are mostly safe if you want to.

My feet are so wimpy I cant walk across rough carpet without wincing. If you are comfortable with it, i dont see why not to.
