  1. I guess he was over sensitive. You probably spoke normally, but most think they need to yell.

  2. It's nothing personal. It's something they encounter all the time. People think they need to yell when you really don't. I've worked the drive thru before. But I've also been the one placing the order and was told to speak up so you just never know. I'd remember never to argue with the person who has your food though. If you've ever seen the 20/20 report that shows what some workers have been caught on camera doing to people's food. To answer your question maybe he was being rude or maybe he was speaking loudly too because he thought you couldn't hear well. We often associate a louder tone of voice with anger and get defensive. No worries though! I haven't had Sonic in such a long time!!!

  3. Were you putting your mouth right up to the speakerbox?? If so then it sounds like YOU are the one yelling at the person taking your order...also was the group of people you were with loud so you were trying to talk over them???

  4. That was rude of him.  Even if he thought you were too loud when ordering, unless he couldn't understand you he should not have said anything.  That's basic customer service, to be polite to the customer.  Of course, customer service is out of style it seems.

  5. I'll tell you a secret to make you feel better.  You can ask any Sonic drive through for a giant bag of ice, and they have to give it to you for free.  They prefer you bring your own bucket, but hey, why not make them bag it up for you?  The ice will taste better when your at home relaxing.  Hee Hee.

  6. My son works at Sonic and I do know that they have headphones when they answer the speaker so it can be kinda loud.   If it bothered you alot then I would call corporate and explain the situation.

  7. i can see why is is mad ----------------- he works at sonic!

  8. He was probably wearing a headset with an earpiece that is right over his ear.  And volume was set to high.  He still did not need to be rude tho.
