  1. I am lucky enough to of seen 100's of whales! I have spent the last 15 years sailing around the world on my yacht (http://sailingadventure.mysite.orange.co... and we have often been to Tonga to see the Humpback's. Just unbelievable.....

Recently  I took my daughter in a plane to go whale watching as unfortunately the boat is 'out of action' at the moment and I have not been sailing for about 2 years. http://youtube.com/watch?v=mayeMbHdQLc   The footage is not great but the experience was fantastic...

And the price...? Just take the opportunity and worry about the $ later, you will have the memories for ever......

  2. I haven't gone whale watching but gone dolphn watching in cape may nj. It was nice. I only saw the top of their tales. But the boat was cool I seemed a bit seasick. I live near Seaworld so I have seen the whales there they are fun to watch.

  3. no but

    back in the day

we'd go watch the submarine races at the lakefront.

  4. Yes, in Monteray Bay California. The whales were migrating and we saw about 5 or 6 of them. It was really cool. Unfortunately I don't know how much it cost we won tickets from a radio station. Don't forget your water proof camera.

  5. I go whale watching a lot.

In southern California the fares for whale watching boats vary from $12 to $35 for a 2-3 hour trip.

Sometimes I take full day trips (8 hours) that cost between $65 to $90 depending on the boat.

I love it so much I volunteer now as a naturalist to help lead whale watching trips.

Check out the American Cetacean Society, they have a great website and you can find a group near you that may have a similar program and you can check out their whale watching trips.
