Heading east on I-80 in Illinois a long time ago.  Cited for riding 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.  Now that speed would be ok on that same stretch of highway in the present day.  Road is the same, only the laws were changed.

Hubby was going 75 mph on the highway once when the speed-limit was 70 mph, and a cop stopped him, but let him off with a warning :-) We're in Texas :-)

no, but i did get 87 in a 65, and a ticket in illinois

First ticket ever, 18 yrs old, Jonesboro,Arkansas

80mph in a 55mph zone. paid a $90 fine (1993)

was doing 73 in a 65 on I-90 in NY state after the 9/11 attacks and fine was a whopping $168!!!!! (was in a hurry to get home...after my honeymoon...)
