Have you ever had a Neilsen box in your home for TV ratings?

I've never met anyone who actually had one of the boxes they use for TV ratings. Have you ever had one? If so, how long was it in your home? Do they even still use the boxes for TV ratings?

About 15 years ago we had a box in our home, and it was, at first, pretty cool to be a part of the "deciders."  But it turned into a real headache when we wanted to go on a vacation, or out to eat, etc.  We were given a block of time where we NEEDED to watch tv, and while watching, we needed to indicate which channel we were watching, but that is all.  I guess they had a schedule of shows for that channel.  As for who we got it, we were asked by a company, based on our family size, compliment of ages, ie, children and adults, income, location, and viewing habits.  WE DID NOT ASK FOR THE BOX.  We had it for about 9 months, and it became a real burden.  I don't know what they do today.  I am sure there is a more HI-TEC device.  Anyway, good luck with this.
