For the past few months I have randomly had dreams about someone who was once special to me. The dreams are usually right before I wake up.

Today I had one where I was in a room with people and was told my cellphone was going off. It was a custom ringtone that this person once had of a song we both like. I looked at the phone and answered it. The person said "It's about time you answer" and began talking to someone in the car with them. And then I woke up. I haven't spoken to this person in almost a month. They have tried to contact me but I do not make contact back. It has been 2 weeks since they last tried.

This morning when I woke up after that dream I looked at my clock which was right next to my phone, and turned off the clock. When I set it back down my phone lit up as it recieved a message... from this person.

Can there be a connection between 2 people that can make this happen? Or am I going crazy?

  1. You are not going crazy.  My Christian Therapist grandfather spoke to me of this recently, and I've done this recently myself.  Who really understands the human mind?  Humans?  Can a computer understand it's self? No, not really.  Can we completely understand the wonderful way were made?

So anyway, this grandpa needed some serious surgery in Feb. He told me that he'd been thinking of an old client of his-- a little gal that grew up like a surrogate granddaughter of his--sorta as an honorary title, y'know?  He'd been thinking and thinking, wondering and wondering about her. Hadn't heard nor seen her in two years.  So she calls him out of the blue---turns out she's schooling in Montana, getting her pharmacology degree.

Just this last week I tried to call my Grandma. It'd been awhile since I'd spoken to her.  Her line was busy.  I hung up and picked the phone up again.  I had a message on my answering service from my grandma.  Her line was busy because she was calling me.

So Grandpa says that there is so little we understand of human communication.  How many times have you written a letter and it turned out wrong or miscommunicated, but when you were on the phone or talking in person, there was something else, some tone of voice perhaps or whatever that effectively communicated what needed to be said?

I think the same is true between all sorts of people.  It doesn't mean that you have a special connection to any one person, but you are connected to people in general.

It's like that insane happening where I don't hear from my husband for hours while he works. I mention him once to our son and the phone rings.

If you want to study it, start recording these happenings, but don't limit it to this one person.

    Blessings!
