  1. I would say your preggo, false positives are rare and usually induce by fertility drugs.  Stress would not cause a false positive and you're getting the symptoms.  You may feel sick later or you may be one of the lucky ones who never feel sick.

  2. False positives are very rare - HCG is produced by the placenta and in RARE cases an HCG secreting tumor (men can have these too) or HCG trigger shots.

    You are pregnant!

In regards to the first answer I suspect his fiance had a chemical pregnancy. If you take an early test and it is positive and you go on to bleed this is a very early miscarriage.

  3. I have never had a False Positive test - They very very unlikely!

    Sooo.. Congratulations! Mummy 2 Be!

I didnt feel quite pregnant either, just a little off form But I did have sore b***s!

    Best of Luck! :)

  4. dude youre pregnant

  5. Since home test detect the pregnancy hormone, you will not get a false positive test.  You can get a false negtive if the levels aren't high enough or you test too soon.  These hormones are only present during pregnancy, therefore a positive test shows you are pregnant.

  6. Congrats you're pregnant!!  Stress would definitely not cause a 'false positive'

  7. Yes,  My fiance had a few false positives.  After taking them we where sure she was pregnant and went about getting ready. A few weeks later she got into the doctors office and found out she was never pregnant.

  8. False positives are rare.  I will tell you that I didn't really get sick until I was about 6-7 weeks along.  I was lucky.  I don't think the stress has anything to do with the positive.  It could have been to blame for your face breaking out and not starting your period, but to have taken two tests and both came out positive, I would call my doctor and make an appointment.

Edit:  You can get a false positive, unlike some people are saying.  If you have been taking fertility drugs (I will go with no, since you didn't mention that.) for example, they can lead to false positives.

  9. Agreeing with all answers, false positives are rare. With my second pregnancy, I had a false negative but I took the test too early. You certainly have all the symptoms of pregnancy. Go to your doctor and have them do a blood test on you to confirm.

  10. False negatives are common.  False positives are rare.  If it says you're pg, you for sure are.

edit.  with regard to the first respondent, the lady was extremely likely to have been pregnant.... she miscarried and never knew it..
