Mine is hurting on one side and goes to the back of my neck. Should I be concerned?? It's in the same place everyday. I can't take Asprin so I took Tylenol.

  1. Yes, Took OTC stuff for it, when it didn't clear, saw PCP and he wrote a script.

  2. Long lasting headache is of a concern.  Sometime it is a signal for something more serious.  I suggest you talk to your doctor (or a doctor) about it.  I'm sure that some tests (CT or MRI) may be in order to make sure it is not the more dangerous and serious problems.   If the more serious conditions are excluded, they may talk to you about various treatment options which includes medications and other "tried and true" therapies.  A few good ones were stated by the previous answer.  But you would have to find the ones that works best for YOUR headache.  Which is more by trial.

So talk to a doctor, make sure it is nothing serious, then consider medicine and/or alternative therapies.

  3. i always get that. maybe you have a migraine but better check it with your doctor.

here are my tips to you:

My doctor prescribed Zomig for my migraines. It didn't help as much as good old Bayer Aspirin did.

What I have found to help the most with migraines is an ice pack to put across my forehead and eyes. I leave it there for about half an hour, then I replace it with a washcloth that's damp with the hottest water I can stand. And then I switch off ice packs and hot cloths about every 30 minutes - or until I go to sleep, whichever comes first.

Excedrine also work great for migrains.

Sleep is the only other thing that has ever helped.

Hope you get to feeling better soon

  4. Ssounds like cluster migraines.  Try advil or aleve and an icepack on the back of your neck.  Works pretty well.  You have my sympathy...
