  1. i did and it was really quite hard ,i didnt get the job it,there was 2 people interviewing they both took turns in asking questions.I got a lot of team player questions, what you thnk the job would involve, when youve had to fix something for some one in a past job they look for lots of examples so be prepared sorry i cant remember much else was a while ago

  2. They will use competency based recruitment techniques which are based on the thoery that what you did previously in a given situation you will do again in the future.  So they will probably ask you to give examples of things you have done, for example, to help someone in a difficult situation, work as part of a team, solve a problem, commuicate with others. I have recruited using this method and found that many good answers don't come from work experience but from other aspects of life. If you run a home , look after children, are part of a club, then you will have lots of good material to draw on. Just think how complex running a home is with children, shopping etc.and how you time manage this.  Good luck

  3. I worked for HMRC for over 42 years, but back then I didn't have to have an interview, as I passed the Civil Service exam.

These days it's all on what they call competency. You will be asked how you dealt with problems, or handled difficult situations. I expect you will also have a short written test, which may be composing a letter, say.

  4. No but I had a tax evasion interview with them. And it was not much fun.
