One of my friends was 7 weeks pregnant and this morning she started bleeding, she went to the doctor and they gave her an ultrasound and found no heartbeat. She had a miscarriage.

I was just wondering if any of you have ever had a miscarriage and how did you cope?

I am currently 5w6d pregnant

  1. yes I've had 3 miscarriages and i gave birth to stillborn twins. It took me awhile before i could talk about it without crying. I stopped talking to people for awhile but then out of nowhere i didn't want to be alone so i hung around family and friends more and little by little hour by hour i started feeling a little better. It kind of always stays in the back of your mind. But it does take awhile and you don't totally get over it you just kind of accept it and look forward to the future.

  2. i had a misscarrage at the end of jan and i still think about that baby even though i was only 5 weeks i would have been due next month on my daughters birthday im now 21 week pregnant with my 7th bub 8th including the one i lost all you can do is be there for her let her talk and listen she will be very sad for a while

  3. I had one back when I was 18, not sure how I coped really. My bf and I broke up a few weeks after it happened. He wanted me to have an abortion, I told him no. Then I told him about the miscarriage, he cried and told me he really wanted the baby. All the stress on us pulled us farther away from each other. So not only did a loose the baby, I lost him. I honestly don't know how I got over it. Just live one day at a time. And know that everything happens for a reason.

  4. Yes, I have- almost three years ago. I coped with help from my husband and keeping busy with our two little boys.

I'm really sorry about your friend's loss.

  5. No I never had a miscarriage thank god.I would be devastated. I could imagine it's freaking you out right?

  6. i had a miscarriage and it was one of the worst things that i have ever went through in my life. i stayed home for two weeks without going anywhere. i was so sad. there will be alot of people telling her that it will be ok and that things just happen for a reason and she is not going to want to hear that. i know i didn't. i dealt with mine by talking to other people that had miscarriages and that helped alot and time also.

  7. As much as i was sad about it when it happened to me i also realised that it wasnt the right timing for me either to have a child. I was only 20 and at uni and jobless. My fiance was working away in the mines at the time and i was living by myself so it was the worst timing for me. I actually didnt tell anyone until it was all over and done with. I told my fiance beau and we had a good cry about it together and eventually i told my mum. Ive kept it pretty quiet but i did go and have some councelling and let it all out. Even though i didnt want kids at the time, it was still pretty hard for me to go through. Pregnancy is such an amazing experience and i did want to go through it all. To make matters worse, my sister was pregnant at the time as well, but that didnt make me any less happy for her.

Im really sorry for your friends loss i hope everything works out fine
