Have you ever had a situation with the cops while playing airsoft?

Yesterday, a few buddies and I went to a abandoned church to play airsoft around the area. After playing for about an hour, about 3 cop cars pulled up, the officers had their guns drawn. We all have our hands up of course and say that they aren't real and the officers holstered their glocks and went to check our airsoft guns. All the tension died and the police attention turned to the air guns. Surprisingly, most of the cops said that they play airsoft too and they all thought our rifles were awesome. So this scary situation pretty much ended in laughs.

Anybody ever had a situation like this?

well kind of there are two stories one the cops got mad becouse we were playing paintball on goverment property sound stupid but we were in the woods so ya whatever and the other was a lockdown in our school there where  SWAT that came in with their M4 s this was just a practice and they would knock on the door and if somebody opened it they would yell get down and one time a kid was in the hall durring lock-down and the SWAT yelled (pointing their guns a him) get down on the ground and the kid just raised his hands instead of getting down like he was told so one SWAT team member tackled himbut yep that is all

yes,the same exact thing happened to some boys at my school,ages 16-18.they were reported by someone who saw them running in the woods,dressed in camo,with "guns."the cops approached them with guns drawn and made them get down on the ground.it ended in an angry lecture,not laughs.the guys are too scared to play again.sad to say,but maybe not such a smart game to play in this jumpy,tense,post 9/11 world.one false move,one action taken out of context by a young,new or nervous cop,and the whole thing could have ended quite differently.

We use reality based training and airsoft is part of it.

We train numerous times a year with airsoft weapons and it is excellent training.

Funny story. Yeah, that has happened to me before, too. I was playing paintball on government property in the woods and the police found us. They got really mad and told us to leave, but nothing else happened.
