Have you ever had a tattoo removed using laser treatment?

Question

If so, how many laser treatments were required before the tattoo was completely gone? What color(s) was the tattoo?

I have two tattoos. One I love and have no plans to remove. The second, which I have had for 11 years, I have outgrown. So I am considering getting it removed. (I may consider covering it with a new design.)

FYI - I am not asking for opinions or beliefs about whether getting/having tattoos is right or wrong.

I am in the process of having 7 removed... it hurts like h**l! It's like your skin is on fire, and nothing can make it stop (since it's below the surface). You have to go in for 8-12 treatments, sometimes more. You have to wait 6-8 weeks between treatments. Mine are black and one has red in it also. It is also VERY expensive. Average cost is $100 per square inch of tattoo, per treatment. So, you figure if you go in 10 times, that's $1000+. Best of luck to you, my dear. Hope you can tough out the pain like I'm trying to. (I went in twice, and the second time was so bad that I haven't gone back in a year.)
