Question:

Have you ever had an accident during that time of the month? Would you tell a woman she had a blood stain?

I'll never forget being in band practice my freshman year and standing up at the end and blood was all over the seat! And a kind-hearted girl saw and helped me wipe it off and cover myself. It really was a nice gesture at a time when I didn't feel very good about myself. Strange thing is that it kind of came all at once (the flow). That was probably because I got my period late (13) and it was just starting out and probably not totally regular. I have had other leakage issues over the years but they usually are not so noticeable.

  1. periods are natural but it must be really embarrasing to walk around with a blood stain on you. id definatly tell someone if the had a stain on them.

  2. I remember this happened to a girl when I was in 6th grade, I loaned her a sweater to wear tied around her waist so she could walk to the nurses office discreetly.

  3. I would.

I hate to see people being laughed at or embarrassed.

I had my own "menstrual floods" in high school and younger.  I wasn't embarrassed about it, but not everyone is like me about that stuff.

I would definitely help another woman out.

  4. I think we women have a duty to protect the dignity of our sisters!  Yes, I'd tell someone if they'd had an accident, and offer to help get her squared away.

  5. Most of my "accidents" were caught while the blood just showed up between my legs.  For years I wore pads and had problems with leakage in the back (so people could see that).  Finally, I asked my mother to use tampons, and I have been good ever since.  I wear thin pads all month long anyway.  It makes me feel more comfortable.  Absorbs most of the sweat "down there."

No one has told me I had any accidents.  If I saw a woman who had a huge accident and had an opportunity to quietly tell her so, yes, I would.  Personally, I'd probably not want to know myself if I had an accident.  If you don't have any pads or tampons with you, not much you can do about it anyway short of wrapping your underwear in TP or tossing a big wad between your legs and praying it will hold until you get home.

  6. That was so generous! I would definitely tell a girl... how embarrassing for her if someone didn't say something.

The same thing happened to me one year. Luckily, my best friend was right there and I asked her to walk me to the bathroom by standing directly behind me. She did, and even our female school principle happened to be in the bathroom. She walked me out the doors to the parking lot, and  actually let me drive home that day and come back to school with a change of clothes because my mom wasn't home to bring them to me!

  7. OH NO! I'm so sorry that happened to you! How embarressing!

  8. you didn't get your period late.. 11 yrs old to 16 yrs old is normal.. and if you have that kind of problem... maybe on the heavy days.. you can wear a pad for extra strong periods.. and change that every 2 to 3 hours.. and on top of that you could wear thin tena lady incontinence pants... they are like the pad.. they are meant really for ladies.. who have a bladder weakness.. if they sneeze or laugh.. they can't hold the urine back and this protects them.. it would do the same for you on your heavy days and on the other days you don't need them.. they are thin and you won't see them nor will you feel the difference if you wear them under trousers... best to wear black or dark skirt or trousers if you know you get your period... and of course I would tell a lady if she had a stain.. then we could find a way to camouflage it.. so that only one person sees the bloodstain but not the whole town.. I would tell her in a polite way.. she could fix it.with a scarf or a cardigan.. until she got to the next restroom....it can happen to people.. that they don't notice.. if they have no regular periods or no initial cramps.. to indicate the period is on the way.... I believe one woman doesn't have to be embarrassed in front of another woman after all we know what it's like and we go through the same thing all of us once a month..If you don't know the exact time you could always keep some spare sanitary towels in a special small bag inside the bag you carry to school... or wherever you go...plus the Tena lady pull up pants help to protect extra.. or you could use tampons and sanitary towels and change them on a regular basis and always take some with you so you are not unprepared... if it should start during the day...you can put them in any bag.. people will think it's a cosmetics bag.. and only you know about it and you will be able to use them if you are not at home when it starts... .x*x

  9. Yep more than once.Yes I would tell and help.

  10. Yes I would tell her or walk behind her so every body couldnt see and tell her.I remember in highschool this one girl said oh my gosh that girl has blood all over her butt! I said who ? Why didnt you go tell her? We were in a crowded hall and I didnt see it.

  11. I would definitely help another gal with that sort of problem. I would hate to see someone so embarrassed by this type of accident.
