Have you ever had an encounter with the paranormal?

I've always been curious...I really haven't had a very scary encounter, just weird. One time I was at a wedding in Napa Valley and my cousin and I were looking out at the vineyards at night. There was a big circular light illuminating the vineyards from above us, almost as if there were a streetlight attached to the ceiling above us. Suddenly the light flew away...or moved away behind us until it was all dark again. We looked up to see if maybe the light turned off above us but we realized there was only open air above us...and there were no lights outside. We freaked out and ran inside...I'm still not sure what that was.

Does anyone else have any stories? Let me know.

Nothing in the sky, mostly ghosts, noises, objects moved--but not all at once or often. 6 events in 40 years is my score. Last one was Sept '02. I suppose I could write a short book, but all my encounters are detailed here in answers. Good luck digging through my thousands of answers!

One particular encounter like that sticks out. One morning I was walking beside the highway. Out the corner of my eye I thought I saw a cloud move in a funny way. I looked to the right and saw a white object maybe 60 feet long with big windows all along the side of it. Moving slowly, you could see somebody or something standing in front of some of the  windows. I watched for maybe 10 minutes. Before it went past it winked out.

Not much, I was left wanting.

Your story probably has a reasonable explanation.  There is no reason to just assume something you don't understand is paranormal.  It sounds like you believe in the paranormal without having any experiences.  Why?

I have never had an experience that has required a paranormal explanation.
