  1. For some reason, when I smell popcorn from a distance (like when they pop it downstairs from my office and the smell makes its way up the staircase), I mistake it for chocolate chip cookies.

I think what you may be thinking of is olfactory hallucinations.  Believe it or not, you can smell things in your imagination.  Sometimes this is safe, other times it is a sign of serious mental problems.  Maybe you should step back and look at what is going on in your life and if you are under unusual stress, seek professional help ASAP

  4. Yes. I was cooking tuna and someone thought it was steak. They wouldn't eat it afterwards. Oh, well, it was another meal for me.
