Have you ever had an interview that went REALLY well, but yet you didn't get hired?

Yeah I have and it really stinks.  It makes you feel rejected and no one likes that.  But I guess you shouldn't count your chickens before they are hatched.  You just have to walk away knowing that you gave it your best and if you weren't chosen then it very well could be their loss.  That's how I like to think about it anyway.

Oh yeah, I'm sure it happens to everyone. You feel so good about the interview and then get the turn down call. Heartbreaking, huh. I guess sometimes there is someone with more experience or knows someone on the inside.

Yes that's happened to me, often. They have so many applicants, any number of them could also have had interviews that went well.

Yes I have.

Just last month I went on one and the entire time I was there the person interviewing me was laughing and having a good time we talked about everything involved in doing the job and when I left the last thing she said was you will hear from me very soon.

The next week she hired someone that had half of my experience and qualifications. I could not help myself I called and asked why she said I was overqualified for the position and she did not think they could afford me.
