Have you ever had pickled tofu?

That stuff makes regular tofu look like comfort food.

It's slimy, with the consistency of thick boogers. It tastes salty and acidic, like you just ate a car battery for lunch.

Have you ever had it?

  2. You must have gotten an old package.   ......It actually sounds good!  I love tofu, and will have to look for pickled.  It should have the consistency of pickled eggs, not slimy ......

Asian Preserved tofu can range from hot and spicy to fermented and bit of, I like it with another Asian Soya based specialty Japanese "Natto", fermented soya beans in a slimey brown liquid, both on hot rice with a raw egg yolk, woke me up some mornings when I worked in Japan, it is the japanese breakfast of champions, wheaties with a "kick".
