Last year(August of 07) in a tournament I shot a crowd pleasing 1 over(73)......Shooting between 3 under and 3 over is nothing new to me(1.3 index) but this 1 over was definetly a roller coaster...

and this is the score break down

2 Double Bogey's

1 Triple Bogey

1 Bogey

7 Pars

7 Birdies

Tripled the first hole and bogey'd the Last hole(I wasn't going to settle for par, it was either birdie or bogey)

The middle part of the round just a string of birdies and pars and doubles.

  1. my first nine holes are always pretty disastres but the back nine is pretty impresive.

  2. I once shot 32 on a course that Arnold Palmer held the course record on 67.  I put it together with a sweet 42 to fire 74.

Four years In the VA State open, I shot a 71 (-1) to be tied for 5th place, two shots off the lead.  After a night of carousing, I shot 84 and missed the cut by a shot. (Top 80 & ties).  75 golfers passed me in one round!

  3. Playing 9 after work one day I shot a 44 with 8 pars. The 5th hole(the one I blew up on) didn't have water or an OB, either.

  4. I'm not that academic.  If i don't kill anyone and I still have balls left at the end. I did good.

  5. Absolutely.

    Try this out...

    7birdies

    2eagles

    7bogies

    2doubles

For a spectacular 72 with not one par in the round.  Every shot was either 2 feet from the hole, or 200yards offline.  It was terrible.

  6. Man do i feel you pain.

Last weeks INV tournament on sat. with the wind blowin 35+ I shot a 45 on the front  and a 30 on the back for a 75 which was  +3 . Being a scratch golfer was the worst and best 9 holes of golf I have played since i can remember.

  7. Yes. Took the wife. On a course that I had never played better than 6 over, I was 2 under after 14. Then the wife started dropping clubs during backswing on green and tee box, and wanted to hurry and put pressure on the group ahead of us. Needless to say I quit keeping score and quit talking to her for the rest of the day. I probably ended up 3 or 4 over but gee give me a break b**ch!

  8. I was in the final group, final day of a college event and my round started like this.

bogey, bogey, double bogey, bogey, par, eagle, double bogey, birdie, birdie, bogey, bogey, eagle, par, par, par, par, birdie, par.  73!!  I shot 66-78 once,  79-65 once, and 92-74 once.  Golf is nuts!
