About four times this year, betwwen the hours 0f 1:00 am and 5:00 am, I woke up and when I went back to sleep, it seems like someone or something was traying to grab me by my hands. I was always able to pull away. One night I saw a shadowy figure and shortly afer that, it seems like was being pulled from my bed to the window and I was pulling not to be taken and it felt like some what relieved I was still in my bed and that I was able to not let myself be taken. Have you ever had this happend to you? Can someone explain this to me?

  1. Well, I read the alien abduction explanation post and that is something I would never have considered, but I wouldn't rule it out. It seems to me though, an alien would be able to take someone and if they found they were not able to take someone physically, they would immediately try spiritually. I don't know, I have never really believed in alien abductions (or not as many as claimed) but it could be that, I guess.

Anyway, I have heard a few counts of this type of thing. Are you waking up more around 3am? That's known as "spirits hour" for many reasons. Possibly, a spirit is trying to ask for you help and you are putting on the pressure and saying no.

In any case, I would not go with whatever it is until you know more about it. Have you ever thought of staying up until that hour to see what's going on (I would also advise sleeping during the day if you are going to do this, it can get tiresome)?

I tried doing this when I was continually woken at odd hours of the night (most around 3am), but I always fell asleep or chickened out.

    Good luck.

    :)

  2. yeh iv had similar things happen, you should start praying before you sleep, could be a demon?

  3. Hi,

It sounds like you have experienced something called 'sleep paralysis'. This is very common, but sometimes it can be a little frightening. It often accompanies with hallucinations, which explains why you saw the shadowy figure. The best thing to do to avoid this is NOT TO SLEEP ON YOUR BACK. Instead turn to your left or right and then go to sleep. It will be useful for you to google to find more info about this.

  4. I have difficulty trusting anything that I perceive during or around sleep.  There is a reason for this.

  5. no icant explain what was the purpose of that being.but if you want to be free from that shadow ,try to have a copy of holy benediction,it is safe and free to anyone who wish to have extra protection.visit yahoo group, then type aqruipnos888 and you will see tha symbol together with its oracle in Greek.have anice day.may GOD protect you!

  6. thankfully, I have no such experience

  7. The most probable explanation for this is sleep paralysis.

I have included a link below.

    Psi

  8. Sounds like you have had your first taste of astral projection. It is scary if you are not aware of what is happening. You may hae noticed that this is accompanied by a feeling of paralysis, or of falling... that is the sensation you get when you re-enter the body. Good Luck, it is a common occurance.

  9. Hi Fay

(By the way I missed your answer whilst choosing a BA and I think your explanation is perfectly valid. thank you).

Maybe you have a ghost around ? ( yes I believe in them..have heard enough stories from totally rational and reasonable people).

Hallucinations due to a traumatic event ? That kind of thing only happened to me once. I won't care about giving details : an incident with a peeping tom. I hallucinated all night long as soon as I closed my eyes. I really thought : that is it : am going to the lony bin this time. Fortunately it never happened again.

Hope people can give you different explanations for you to ponder about.

  10. Maybe that's why I can't go to sleep till 5 AM or after. I don't even try anymore. Also..one time someone broke in on me around 3 or 4 AM...I don't think about that..but I wonder if I think of it subconsciously. Maybe that's what you're doing.Did anything bad ever happen to you at that time maybe when you were a child?

  11. Ok, this might sound really weird- but have you ever considered the possibility of alian abduction? I've read a lot about it, and in (probably most cases) people are physically taken, but in some cases they are spiritually taken and transported around to strange places. You said that you saw a shadowy figure and you felt like you were being pulled towards the window, but you were relieved that you were not taken and that you were still actually in your bed. It sounds like a case of abduction to me, but if not it's probably a ghost. Maybe it wants to hang out with you in spirit. When we're sleeping our souls seperate from the body so that we (our bodies AND souls can properly rest). Maybe there's a spirit who wants to show you something and can't communicate with you while you're awake. It sounds crazy but it's just a thought.

Hope I could give you a LITTLE bit of insight at least.

    Good luck

  12. It's a dream, perhaps?  Maybe you have sleep apnea, which is why you are awakening during the night.  Have you recently gained weight?  That could bring about sleep apnea.

There must be some physical sensation that is causing this dream.

  13. I have had a few similiar situations happen to me

    unfortunatly i cannot explain it

    im still wondering myself?

  14. i once dream of people sneaking in my window and i woke up with a bloody nose...weird

  15. This is a common phenomena, happens everywhere in the world and to many cultures and people.

I don't think anyone knows what it is. Could be ghost, demons, spirits or you are merely dreaming etc.

Anyway, psychiatrists, psychologists etc have a term for this, sleep paralysis or night terror. They are merely describing the phenomenon but not giving any explanations. These could very well be caused by the paranormal.

  16. I have had something very similar. Also unexplainable.
