Have you ever had to work in darkness for a period of time ?

i work nighttimes to/ there is little to no light which illuminate the hallways and corridors here. i dont mind for if there is little light it is alright with me.

I also work night shift and even though the place is well lit, I tend to turn most of the lights off to promote a feeling of peace and quiet

Yup, I did 14 years on nights, plus a mixture of days and some rotas too (over a period of 25 years).

I like the nights, the quiet solitude and levels of freedom it allows.  It's now 01:45 and I'm writing this in a pool of desk lamplight.  I like it, a womb-like (I'm assuming!!) environment.
