  1. No, but I have heard of a book called "mortgage free for life".

It is one of those "Get rich in real estate" books that promises the world. 1 person out of 10,000 could actually make any money at all.  You buy a house and have a tenant pay the rent.  You buy a house and immediately resell it on a Lease with Option to Purchase.  You get 5 roommates and charge them each 1/3 of the mortgage payment (they don't know what you pay, they just need a room) so you are collecting more than your payment every month.  You can use that extra money to buy another house and do it again. /
