  1. Yes.

  2. Belize has the second largest coral reef system in the world including the Blue Hole.  Snorkeling and diving are incredible.  The language is English because it was a possession of England then called British Honduras.  There are wonderful Cayes on the east side.  Ambergris Caye with San Pedro is one of the largest.  You must stay for the "Chicken drop" and see Bearfoot Skinny while there.  Caye Caulker has a youth Hostel and has more crime than other Cayes.  St. George's Cay was used to train the English soldiers.  Inland there is the ancient Mayan village ruins of Al-Tun ha which can be reached by going up the Monkey River by boat to Bomba.  Then from Bomba by bus. (It's called Bomba because they bombed the marajuana fields that were growing there to be rid of them.)   Belize is beautiful and is a wonderful place to visit.  I would go again in a heartbeat.

  3. of course I have !!!

  4. I've been to Belize.  It is a beautiful place to visit. It is becoming a popular place to visit by those from the western part of the US.

The beaches are fabulous.  The also have a fun attraction where you can go cavetubing. Anyone can do it.  They take you down this jungle-like river on innertubes and you make your way to this river cave. They supply you with the headlamps and you are in this really dark cavern.  It is really interesting. If you want, you can also jump off this cliff into the water.  It's very exciting but also safe. I think you should try it if you go to Belize.

  5. Oh absolutely! Its beautiful. Traveled over there December 2007

  6. yes. It is between Mexico and Guatemala. It used to be named British Honduras, and it is the only english speaking country in the region. I have been there and it it beautiful. I'd like to retire there someday.

  7. yes. I believe it was once called British Honduras.

  8. Of course I have.  They have a lot of cashew plantations there.  I love cashews!   Central America, officially English, they also speak lots of Spanish, there.  Just south of Honduras, isn't it?

  9. It's a nice country and it getting more and more popular. It was first known as a dive destination and is now also becoming known as an eco/adventure vacation destination.

It is also becoming a popular spot as an second home/retirement destination. More and more expats are there and it shows in the land and house prices.

I've backpacked through Belize and also gone on separate dive vacations to Placenica, Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker. I would go back to any in a heartbeat. Ambergris   (an island ) is getting more crowded so I would rather go back sooner rather than later.

It's a great destination. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

  10. ive been there.
