I remember I used to be that way when I was in elementary school. I didn't like my body changing & developing @ the time. I was only 8.

Now, I know this 13-yr. old boy who my friend works with (she works with troubled youth), & his voice is changing, & he's getting taller. He gets even MORE upset when a person says, "Wow, boy. You're getting TALL!" or, "Your voice is getting deeper. You're becoming a man." He acts out & gets into fights with people because he wants to stay a kid. He's in special ed. & I was, as well.

  1. Yep!  It's called hormone overload.  That's why the teens are doing so much sexual experimentation too.

  2. I know this sounds really crude, but he probably just needs to m********e more.  He's at that awkward age where he already feels like everyone is staring at him while he's going through all of these physical changes.  It's completely normal, and he'll get over it sooner or later.
