there are a lot of risks involved which you may or may not observe while watching tv programs like Dr 90210. the first lady of nigeria died during/after undergoin a tummy tuck and so also kanye wests mother...

Last month my mother underwent a tummy tuck procedure and the results look really good so far. Where I live a there are certain cosmetic surgeons that are better than others. I'd consult plastic surgeons in your area and see what they have to offer. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter.... They should be able to answer your questions.

Hello,

Healing capacity and patient health are big issues with tummy tuck surgery. Patients should be carefully screened beforehand. Surgery is just that: surgery. Things can go wrong. In the right hands, this is rare but it can happen.

I do these operations frequently and rarely do we have problems, but if you are considering surgery, you should do your research before you see a surgeon. Then go from there.

I saw a woman in hospital last year who had a tummy tuck abroad and developed a massive infection and nearly died.

One of the more common problems after an abdominoplasty is collection of fluid under the skin after the drains have been removed. The surgeon should aspirate the fluid with a needle this had not been done. With that said, risks exist with ALL surgery and of course there is the risk of GA itself.. If you chose to have it, make sure you go somewhere reputable.

There is however, a risk free alternative?? A healthy reduced calorie diet and vigorous exercise!

(although granted this may not help the loose skin issue)

Near where I live there is a story at the moment of a woman who had a tummy tuck it went horribly wrong & is now in Intensive Care with MRSA her chances of survival are not very good.

having a tummy tuck carries the same amount of risks as any normal surgery e.g. not waking up from the drugs, getting an infection, not healing etc you should always consider these risks, a tummy tuck is a huge deal and i would think very carefully before making such a huge huge decision, i really would try exercise and healthy eating not only will you feel better about yourself you ll be toned and loosing weight !!

Yes I have seen some shocking scars!! However there are other complications too, such as infection, and exessive bleeding (I have seen excessive bleeding quite a few times).

If you go ahead it with it do a lot of research and make sure it is done by a good surgeon.

If I am not mistaken Kayne West's mother went in to have a tummy tuck and died, she had underlying health issues that the Dr was not aware of, but I would say it went terribly wrong.

V W. That is nothing new, Tummy job went wrong, I have never had any

but it has been in the news, on the TVs and papers many times. It all depends who does the job, it is like any thing else, dose the person know what they are doing, are they doing it with all the cares that should be done, and does the person / Doctor cares about what they are doing, so you see it's not what is been done but who is done it OK?

It can be done and it's been LOVED by you & every body & it can be done & it's a catastrophe to you & all so get a good butcher AKA Doctor & do a lot of hoping & wishing & you will be OK.

Yes on tv this woman had a dodgy one and her stomach went really out then really indented in at her belly button and then out again on her lower stomach. Quite horrible really
