Have you ever heard of mystery shopping?

Has anyone ever heard of mystery shopping where a company hires you to eat at their restaurants or shop at their stores and evaluate quality, customer service and care, and write a review for your experience. No one at the restaurant or store actually knows you are a mystery shopper though they jsut think you are an everyday customer. Is this real, i see ads for it but is it a joke, do you know anyone who did it, can you make money? what are the catches?

Yes. There are no catches. It is real.

It is real, its not exactly the type of thing you can make a living off of though.  The catch is while you may be getting a free meal there is a bunch of paperwork for you to fill out and it doesn't exactly pay great.

It's for real, but that's about all I know about it. I knew a woman that did it, but she also had a regular job, so I'm guessing it doesn't pay a lot.
