A psychic told me she believed in this. Do you know what she was talking about? Is this a New Age teaching?

  1. The controversial date of December 21, 2012 actually speaks about the end cycle of the Mayan Long Count Calendar. It corresponds to the Mayan annotation date of 13.0.0.0.0. The new beginning means the start of the new cycle, annotated as 0.0.0.0.1. That will fall on the next day, which is December 22, 2012.

  2. Psychics just love vague and poetic language don't they?  They will avoid specifics as they would avoid the plague because then you would have something concrete to bust them on.  If they keep it general and up for interpretation they can't be pinned down.

I hope you didn't give this person any money Denie.  If you do pay for a psychic reading, do all you can to get some specifics.

  3. I really believe 2012 will be a shift in collective consciousness. When people will be more aware of the paranormal aspect of the Universe and the incidents will increase and quantum physics will prove the Universal geometrical intelligence of the Universe which is the Universal aspect of God half of the truth, people will also become very spiritual. But Anti-Christ would you this half truth and claim that the personal aspect of God the Trinity and relationship through Jesus Christ is wrong.

The New age will signal the End times in my opinion. But the New age is also a good thing, when scientist will finally prove consciousness from the brain and other paranormal things will become natural and proven.

  4. i think she is a violence victim

  5. What the other person was talking about, regarding 2012, is a pop-culture doomsday "prophecy" which actually isn't a prophecy at all.  The Mayan calendar's Long Count (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesoamerica... ) indicates that on Dec 21, 2012, the end of the 12th b'ak'tun (the longest cycle, roughly 400 yrs) and the beginning of the 13 b'ak'tun will occur.  Now in Mayan mythology, we are living in the 4th world.  The gods failed in making first 3 worlds and placed men in the 4th, and first successful, world.  The 3rd world ended and the 4th world began on a 13th b'ak'tun.  Ergo someone decided that the 4th world must also end on a 13th b'ak'tun (in this case, dec 21, 2012) and the 5th world will begin.  Despite the fact that this is all based on mythology, there is no indication that the Mayans believed the 4th world would end on the 13th b'ak'tun.

I haven't heard much else about a "New Beginning" but obviously it is a new age teaching and a psychic didn't tell you she believed that because psychics aren't real, just like fairies and unicorns.  However, I can see anyone who thinks they are psychic also buying into this load of hooey.

  6. how can the end be the beginning...

The end of the old, the beginning of the new. It is the process of death and rebirth. One must die before they can be reborn. Out with the old, in with the new.

All those 2012 prophecies, everybody's asking if the world will come to an end. But it won't. I'm told the earth is being raised, it's energy, it's vibration. More lightworkers are being recruited to help the raising, and 2012 is when the energy will be fully realized. New, higher energy. A newer, higher way of being. Earth and man will grow.

But yeah, technically it IS a new age teaching, but honestly, I prefer to think it's actually eons old. This stuff has been around since before there was time.

    Peace and love to you
