Have you ever heard of rubbing lavender essential oil on the face?

does it really work to get rid of spots, and acne scars???

  1. Never rub an essential oil on your face.  You have to use it diluted 1:10 with water, rosewater, or witch hazel.  A lot of people find they are allergic to lavender, so go slow in the beginning or you may have a pretty bad allergic reaction.  It's also toxic to certain types of cells so if you get pregnant, don't use it.  If applied to your skin, it will increase photosensitivity, so if you tan, you need to pick one or the other


  2. Pure essential oil of Lavandula officinalis or angustifolia can be applied directly to the skin and is used to treat something acute like a burn, scrape or insect bite. Essential oil of Lavender alone will not treat acne, its causes or scars.

    Essential oils in a blend can be very helpful in treating acne.
