  1. It will sound to u funny but i have heard "tsigino" only for describing underwear...

    you know,"tsigkino vraki",

    For the virginity belt ;)))

To be serious now,i have only heard, aluminium tin.............

  2. The word tsigkino comes from tsingos which is zinc and is alteration of the word zincum.

It had been used for many years back to describe the house-ware that was made from zinc. There were the tsigkina cups which you can still find in shops. They gave an extra cool feeling to drinking water with them.

The modern expression is "tsigkina swbrakakia" used to describe what a man should wear once he entered the prison environment for obvious reasons. But also the prude lady is described as using them to safe-guard her virginity.

  3. yes l did, usually because of the material that tsigos is produced of, it's made out of zinc (italian zinco)  - ψευδάργυρος- pseudargyros.

I have never heard of the "tsigkino esswrouxo" though :) but it's good to learn something new :)
