Where I grew up, every weekend we had what we called a bush party.  Basically a part of a farmers field, usually with permission, build a huge F off Bon fire and have a huge party, get drunk, sometimes get a little tail, stay out of trouble...ahhh...good times.

  6. yes many times years ago for guy fawkes night.

  7. Yeap.

We build one every year to celebrate St John (Sant Joan which is in the 24th of June)which for us is like the celebration of the summer solstice. It is celebrated the night before (23rd)We make big tall bonfires and then we dance around them. What´s also nice is that is called the fire night,as we throw lots of fireworks as well.Lovely tradition.
