Have you ever hit a deer???

Have you ever hit a deer or a fairly large animal or animal with your car?

I did once, we had about 3 inches of snow on the ground, just unuff to make me want to put it in 4x4. I was on a back round on my way home doing about 50-55 (speed limit) when i saw a deer on the side of the road standing there. I figured he would run off into the field when i passed him but he dident, he ran in front of my truck. I slammed on the brakes and hit him. I got out to check the damage and he was laying in the ditch, obviously dead. So i put him in the bed of my truck and had deer steak that night.

I look at it this way, you killed the deer, somethings going to eat it, whether its you, another animal in the wild, or it'll start to deteriorate and get eaten by mold.  you also saved your state a few bucks from having to send someone out to remove the deer.  not to mention that road kill is rather unsightly, especially when they are fairly close to each other

by the way, how were the steaks??

Stuff like that is why I crept past a deer when I saw it standing on the side of the road. Deer are the dumbest animals ever. I have almost hit one and I live in the boonies in Georgia so it's not uncommon to see dead deer on the side of the road.

actuly ive hit three one was small and only reson i no i hit it was a little fur on the bumper then i swarzed to miss 1 and it charged didint hit the front but lost rear veiw annd had chest print on back side than hit one stright on and dented hood but still ran fine

I backed my husbands 57 chevy into a tree once but I never hit a deer and hope I never do
