Have you ever killed a pet by mistake, and never forgave yourself?

i killed a baby parrot i had back in my country by mistake when i was little.. it use to like to sleep next to my belly idk y and one time i had it there n i fell to sleep =( the next morning it was dead.. i always felt so bad about it, even now that i am 17, that was probably when i was like 11 or so...

Well you probably won't pick me as best answer because you probably hate them but.....

I walked in the room and stepped over the cardboard divider that keeps the ferrets contained to one part on the room and knocked over my tarantula Napoleon's cage and her cave fell on her and her abdomen started leaking and I cried more than i have ever cried and I hate myself for it.

I had a gerbil, then my friend moved and gave her two other gerbils to me.  Because they'd fight if I put them together, I had separate cages for mine and hers.  But it was too much and I forgot to feed my original gerbil, and I found her, realized she was starving, tried to feed her, but it was too late... I felt really bad.  I felt like one of those horribly irresponsible pet owners I always looked down on.

sapphi......your answer will haunt me.

I had nightmares for years that I would forget 2 feed my pets.The nightmares started after one on my friend did the same thing a sapphi.

.

I would wanna die first... before I could ever let a helpless innocent animal that depended on me too suffer a horrible death of starvation.

I wish I never heard of such things.......Hopefully I will get amnesia and won't have to be damaged from such horrors people do.

of coarse i have but it took a while for me to forgive myself because like you said it was a mistake, so dont be so hard on yourself because you didnt do it on purpose, and im pretty sure that God has forgave you, and now its your turn ( forgive yourself);;;

I had a hamster once that I forgot to feed a few times. It passed, but I got over it. But this was 10 plus years ago.
