Have you ever lied about what you like?

I like cooking. A lot. I played in the kitchen since I was 9. When I was in high school, I used to make my own lunch for myself. Sometimes I handed out treats to my friends and told them my mother made it but actually I made them. I lied because I was embarrassed. I'm still embarrassed.

nothing wrong with liking to cook.  they'll probably ask you to make them stuff if you tell them.  i knew a few teen chefs in high school.  its a pretty fun craft; creating things from scratch into meals.  i wish i knew how to really cook.

Yeah I don't tell people that I love jazz and watching baseball on TV b/c people already think its weird that I love baseball haha

in fact, you should be embarresed if you mom made you lunch in high school - you should be making your own lunch......your thinking is wierd....whats embarressing about cooking?

Are you embarrased cuz ur a guy? Really, I know plenty of men that cook wonderfully and they're not embarrassed at all. I promise you, chicks love that stuff.

It's a very impressive trait and you have nothing to be embarrassed about! You are very talented and maybe you should consider looking into a career as a chef?

I like to sing  but everyone at my school is into sports exept for dorky kids and stuff so i do private voice lessons and basketball and soccor (which im really bad at)!

i lied when i hate some clients / collegues boasting attitudes, but have to praise them and act like i enjoy them.

in the un realistis world, we sometimes have to act and put on a mask.

to the extent of lying under our teeth...

coz same happened with me but i said mom made that but one day they came to know all of them laughed at me ! in school,

our teacher said that's a talent ,and i participated in young cook and won 2nd prize and all those who laughed were jealous

of me but i was proud of my self

LOL! There was this guy in college that I really liked and I swore that I was a huge rugby fan because he was a rugby player. Well, I'll have you know, I still don't know the first thing about rugby, nor care to, for that matter. Needless to say, things didn't work out so well with the guy. Oh well...  live, learn and laugh!!

Yes i've lied about what I like so that I'll fit in to a social situation. But in regards to lying about cooking, you shouldn't lie about that! You should be really proud!! I can't cook for beans! And I wish i was in a relationship with a girl that could cook. Now that i'm 22 and living alone, every time I turn on the oven i shutter all over my body because I hate cooking. I'm envious of you.
