Are there any tips to getting it back? I noticed Vijay blew up on the back 9 yesterday. I have been in that situation where my swing was off and it seemed like there was nothing I could do to get it back. It ended up ruining my putting confidence too.

  1. h**l yea it happens to the best of us i was playing in an ajga qualifier and i was like 2 over going to 14 and on 14 i ripped my drive down the middle then proceeded to shank 2 in a row and drop 2 in the water and have a 4 putt on the same hole i lost it all     i didn't hit another fairway green or have a two put i ended up shooting an 82. it sucks but u have to learn from that and build from it

  2. I just started playing golf 4 months ago and I just broke 90 my first time today. : ) . But I do know a lot about golf and when im in the middle of a round I have a hole or even two that i shoot a 7 on and what helps to get back on track is to just say its behind you and forget it and keep on thinking about the next shot. Also something that helps is swing easy dont try and kill the next shot, You cant save a stroke you lost on the last hole on one drive.

  3. Consider yourself lucky if it only lasts half a round!  If things start to unwind, remind yourself that Every Shot counts and try to stay down and focus on the shot at hand.

  4. ive only ever lost total confidence once and that was when i lost 6 balls on the same hole.... sad times lol

and yea i was totally dissapointed that Singh never came through and won the playoff, if only he could have stayed out of the bunkers.

why did "sam japan" just copy my answer???

  5. Ohh yeah!!!! one of the best rounds of my life!! I was on 14 and I had been bouncing in and out of cups on par threes for months. Hitting pins, lips and just basically near-missing an ace on more then  half a dozen occasions. Well I was on a par three, the 14th as I said before and I was 6 under with confidence to boot! I knew I was going to get at least 2 or more birdies and come into the clubhouse shining like spit on tin.!

    UNTIL... I aced 14

My adrenaline was SO high and I was going nuts!! dropping me to 8 under with 4 holes to go.. wow if I could only hang on. Well I should never have said that. I was so full of adrenaline I could barely hold a club. I teed off 15 and went ob and it was all downhill from there. I ended up shooting a 73.

  6. I played a 9 hole round one day and on the first hole I hit a bloop drive with my 3 wood and had 150 yards or so for a second shot.  Under normal conditions I should of had half that distance.  I holed out my second shot for an eagle.  The best iron shot to date I've ever hit.  Nice to start out 2 under on the 1st hole.  By the fourth hole I was even par.  By the 9th hole I was 4 over.  Things fell apart rather quickly.  Just chalk it up as a bad round.  Go back to the drawing board and practice.  The next time I played I played much better.  You just have to forget about it.
