  1. My mother is presently dying of cancer. In a way it's killing me as much as her.

    Saying goodbye is so hard.

  2. Yes, my Dad died 17 years ago, my Nephew died 8 years ago and my Mom died last year. All made me feel sad that they were no longer with us ( I felt horrible for my brother and sister in law, he was only 17) but my Mom's death hit me the hardest.

"theist" Did I spell it right?

  3. yes my mom. 3 years ago. but what is really sad i personally think she is not in heaven with the lord.but it was her choice and in life ALL choices have consequences.some minor, some major, and some eternal.

  4. Yes I have. My heart still hurts but I know they are Home. Three children that I fostered. Theist is spelled e before i.

I am so sorry for your loss and forgive me if I am misunderstanding things.

  5. YES,

Today is the Anniversary date of my little girl that died at birth...it still rips my heart out every single year...and every year its just like it happened...

and it was soooo long ago...I never got to even hold her, because they didn't do that back then..!!

  6. lost my great grandmother when I was younger

Lost my grandfather several years back

Lost my Cat(hit by a car) few years back

How did it feel?Um,I generally take things well and dont overreact.

  7. In the last 10 years:

    I'm a widower

    my grandmother and graandfather

    2 cousins

  8. Several people.

It was sad, to say good bye.

But, I know I will see them again.

Each of them seemed to have accepted death, knowing that they were going to a better place.  Somehow, I knew that too.

  9. Yes, and I don't have to spell theist to relate it to this section.  I lost someone I loved because of my values.

It still hurts, but the peace I have is not matchable.

  10. Yes...my father, my mother, my brother. It feels like ****. But you deal with it.

  11. Of course. It's devastating, and eventually, the wound heals.

  12. I'm old, so yes: Many times in many different ways.

  13. Yes, though I don't know loss the way others do.

There are many different types of lost--Death, a friend who has strayed from you, etc.

In the end, it all felt the same to me--a sense of despair with the struggle to understand the meaning of letting go.

    Theist.

    T-H-E-I-S-T

    Theist.

  14. Both parents Mother and father to cancer! I can offer sympathes to all that go through that horrible and trying time in their lives.

  15. yes of course

i fell apart, each time depending on how close and how important they were to me

ir felt horrible, like soemthing was 'wrong' in my life and would never ever be 'right'

  16. Yes, and one particularly bad. Feel like? Like a large part of me ripped out, and it hasn't returned.

Edit: How can the guy below me say only the young haven't experienced loss? I was only 24, the one lost was 27. Does that count? Some kids even lost a parent as a child...

  17. Only the young have not experienced loss.

Unfortunately you shall experience loss and you will then learn what it feels like.
