Have you ever made a cardboat boat? Any tips.?

I'm entering the annual cardboard boat race and it has to be made only with duct tape and cardboard. It can only be 8ft by 4 ft. or smaller.

  1. You should consider building a Schooner type - it will have fewer seams so will be more sea worthy. You can use the duct tape to make sails and don't forget a rudder so it sails straighter.


  2. Jut go down to Home Depot and ask one of the mexicans hanging out in front.

  3. Visit a plastics plant if you have one in the area,  ask for a gaylord box.  They are very heavy, coated board that pellets come in.
