Maybe you got tired of inflated player salaries. Perhaps you got sick of athlete's prima donna "sense of entitlement" attitudes. Could be you got tired of bandwagon fans and listening to fans' trash talk. Maybe you just got tired of revolving your life around the successes and failures of overpaid, crybaby millionaires.

If so, how did you do? Were you able to successfully distance yourself from a sport that you've loved for a long time?

  1. When the Colts traded Eric Dickerson, I lost my interest.

I don't allow that other stuff to interfere with what I enjoy.  Life's too short to allow petty things to sway you emotionally.

Sports are for fun.  It's all a male-testosterone thing anyway.  Just kick back and enjoy and if you can't there is always that button on the clicker that frees up a lot of your time.  It says OFF.
