  1. I never buy regular glass cleaner anymore. I use 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water mixed together. I use more rubbing alcohol when the humidity is high, though. It works great. I tried vinegar once to clean glass and it left the glass spotty. :(

  2. vinegar and water works well.

  3. Hot water is great for cleaning....adding vinegar will stop streaking. If you can't stand the smell of vinegar, try apple vinegar.

It works very well on glass and most surfaces.

  4. A 50/50 mix of vinegar and water works very well.  I usually make a mixture and put it in a plastic spray bottle. I add the juice of one lemon to give it a clean smell.

  5. Here's a recipe for a homemade cleaner I've been using for about 6 months.  It works so good on just about everything that I'm not even bothering to use up all those half empty containers of cleaner languishing in my closet!

    1 16-ounce bottle rubbing alcohol

    1/2 cup ammonia

    1 teaspoon liquid dishsoap

Add all ingredients to an empty plastic gallon-size milk jug.  Fill with water.  Mix gently.  Pour into a spray bottle and use.

  6. I own a detail business and clean glass on a daily basis.  I have used every product out there I think and finally found only ONE that I will use forever.  It is called ultraluster!  It is supposed to be used for a waterless car wash but after using it more and more I have found that it works wonders on glass and mirrors.  Give it a try.  Tell them Detailjay sent you and get 25% off.  Good Luck!

  7. Just good Ole' natural vinegar.  It eco friendly and not harmful to your health like ammonia.  My friend likes to add water to her vinegar mixture and 1 or 2 drops of dish soap.  I tried that and found that straight up vinegar and her solution work exactly the same.  I also have a friend who swears by this cloth that she bought at Target that supposedly cleans glass with no chemicals or anything.  It's a blue rag made out of a special material and it's just for cleaning glass.  I've yet to try it, but like I said my friend loves it.

    GOOD LUCK!

  8. I clean houses.  I use vinegar/water for glass, yellow ammonia/water for cleaning.  Comet spray bathroom cleaner for bathroom areas and Barkeepers Friend for bad sink stains.  I only use the best and have tried them all to get there!
