  1. i have met people with parents who have 2 dif. religions. so they say they are either half christian or half jew or muslim.

  2. In Palestine there are many Muslims who historically converted from Judaism to Islam.

  3. That's as silly as atheist Jew.  It takes more to be a Jew than a family history.

  4. According to Islam if the father is Muslim, so is the child, but according to Judaism, if the mother is Jewish so is the child.  So that leads to some interesting mixtures.

Muslim mother, Jewish father:  According to both religions the child belongs to the other one, and neither will accept the child.

Jewish mother, Muslim father:  Judaism says the child is Jewish, while Islam says the child is a Muslim, and both will ignore the opinion of the other as being irrelevant.

So no, someone can't be a Jewish Muslim or a Muslim Jew, they can either be Jewish or Muslim (based on perspective) or neither.

  5. There is no such thing.

It's either you're muslim or jewish.

  6. A jewish person who is jewish by culture and by birth and has converted to Islam. Yes I have met one. Peace!

  7. Why do people mix Judaism with other religions? Did you ever hear of a Christian Muslim? or a Muslim Christian?

If your Jewish your Jewish, if your not your not.

A Jew who converts to Islam is still a Jew according to Judaism.

According to Islam he is a Muslim.

So you call him Muslim and we call him a misguided Jew. No such thing as Jewish Muslim period.

  8. As far as I know both are religions.  It's like saying a Buddhist Jew.  Or a Christian Hindu.  So which is it?  Do you see the oxymoron here?

You have to put a nationality first..like Aussie Jew or Iranian Muslim.  Get it!

But you gotta admit that first answer was very funny.   Laugh it off.

  9. it technically cannot exist.

there can be a Jewish Arab or Muslim Arab, but unless the man has converted but retained his original culture, (which would be extremely unusual) it is impossible.

its basically an Oxymoron, like a Christian Jew

  10. there is no such thing!

when people say "I'm half christian and half Jew" they just

mean that their ancestors were Jewish.

there is no way you can be 2 religions.

Christians believe in Jesus and Jews do not...so how can you combine these 2 religions together?...you cant

  11. It can be real. I havent had the "pleasure" of meeting one. But in Judaism you never leave your "jewishness" you are always considered a jew.

  12. I use to be a Muslim and I'm converting to Judaism. I met a few like myself.

Edit: Jonathan H, Islam says EVERYONE is born a Muslim, even if the parents are both Hindus, Buddhists, ect.  There is no paternal, maternal issue.

  13. yeah one of the people i know is jewish and she is Israeli and her brother is a muslim.

  14. they don't exist, once a jew always a jew
