Have you ever met a mother who still breastfed her child of 3 or older?

I am talking about the USA/europe/Australia, I know in Africa it´s normal...

how did people react?

i saw a lady feeding her 8 year old daughter and these people from the Philippines where at a party and the baby started crying and the mother was busy so another lady picked up the baby and started breast feeding it!!!

my aunt breastfed her youngest till she was about 5, i have seen other people who still breastfeed older children and i don't see a problem with it.

some people get freaked out by it but i plan to breastfeed for at least 2 years.

My Mother-In-Law told me about a tupperware party here in the USA that was continually interrupted because somebody's 6 year old boy kept interrupting to ask to suck his mother's breast(s). Generally, people reacted with horror and disgust.

well whilst im all for breastfeeding (i didnt due to the fact i couldnt) i think theres a a time maybe when it becomes a bit weird if you ask me i mean i think 2 is a fine age but i saw a documentary about women b/feeding her 8 year old now thats bordering on paodophilia if you ask me
